Vancouver Island has always been my home. Prior to becoming a Counseling Therapist, I gained experience working with families as a Birth Doula, and Shantala Baby Massage Instructor. As a wife, mother, and late-discovery adoptee, I enjoy working with families during difficult and transitional times.
I graduated from the counselling program at VCCT in 2016. I am registered as an MTC (#2156) with the Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists, and ATCA (#2602). I have taken specialized training for working with Neuro-diversity, and Expressive Art and Play Therapy.
I have been a studio potter for the past 12 years and an artist all my life. When I began to learn about Expressive Therapies I felt like I had found my true passion.
Creative expression has always been a huge part of my personal growth and healing process, now I am able to help others to tap into their own expressive healing potential. What a joy!
I have personal life experience with adoption, foster parenting, trauma, grief and loss, anxiety and depression, home schooling and raising neuro-diverse children. I enjoy working with people of all ages.
I offer therapy in my home studio space, online, and outdoors in Port Alberni. I feel honored to support people in meeting the challenges in their life and find their way. I am in awe of the youth I work with; I witness them grow and find ways to flourish despite their challenges.
Sessions and treatment plans are tailored to meet the needs of my clients, sessions may include many forms of spontaneous art and play, conversation, movement, music, mindfulness, or time in nature.
